RE:RE:RE:webinar stuff
I've been over the webinar a couple of times and I agree with you bailey2, I also interpreted the 100 tons lined up for Nov/Dec as being separate from the long-term agreement.
Speculation on my part, but it would seem that they have abandoned the processing into "light" and "heavy" (copper) fractions. I wonder if they've realized that sending some concentrate to smelters anyway might put off potential clients. I know that there is a dramatic reduction in smelting but I think they've decided to go for processing all of it in house. I'm pretty sure they know what they are going to do with the tin extraction and that the copper extraction will be something similar, but they need the time to refine that, hence the R&D. Two steps forward one step back etc. Ultimately, if they can make it work 100% extraction in house would be better, of course.
I can't explain the high processing costs, but I wonder whether the extra $300 per ton in the first two years is something to do with paying back on the cost to build out? But then Duane says they have no debt so...
I am curious as to why the info regarding the decision to work with engineering firms in Germany, the "pilot" mining plant and an explanation regarding the non processing of copper/change in processing were not included in a press release. I will be contacting IR this week for an explanation regarding the copper.
