It's a terrible name regardless of the pronunciation. Maybe it's code for something the metafreaks will be drawn to. If it makes me money I don't care. If the opposite, I'll blame this nonsensical name change.

I thought a simple spelling change to Fandumb would be suitable. If a name change was a must, might as well go with DVP&D Corp.

Found the video of David talking about the name change. So they want it to end like Spotify - FAN-di-FY. Except the spelling doesn't lend to that pronunciation. Other examples of that spelling have two different sounds: wifi, hifi Or, Latifi, Qatifi It's unfortunately a poor name choice.
