GEMS.c up announcing intent to refine battery-grade graphene

Although the battery industry is dominated by lithium, graphene is patiently waiting in the wings to overtake the rapidly expanding market. Graphene boasts drastically higher energy storage compared to lithium, coming in at around 3.5x more storage by weight.

Infinity Stone Ventures (CSE: GEMS) recently engaged SGS labs with the intent to upgrade its graphene resource at the Rockstone Project. Previous refinement from samples at rockstone was able to establish a purity of 96.1% Cg. Through further testing and refinement, GEMS hopes to upgrade the resource to a purity of 99.8%, bringing it to battery grade.

"With a global deficit of graphite expected this year, and China currently controlling 84 per cent of the global supply, our Rockstone Project is strategically positioned to meet the rapidly growing demand," said Zayn Kalyan, CEO of Infinity Stone.

This project is a very strong part of GEMS vast green metals portfolio. If they are able to achieve battery grade graphene from this refinement, the value of the project is sure to skyrocket.

GEMS.c is currently trading at $.3, up 15% today. The company is presently valued at $22.75 million.
