I sent an email to Ascent’s corporate email address on their website asking why I didn’t receive a package or proxy form for the shareholders meeting that passed. Lo and behold I received a package late last week for the meeting that happened several weeks ago. Coincidence much that I get something in the mail after I emailed them?? Whoever is dealing with their investor relations need to do a way better job. Investors shouldn’t have to hound a company. Also I never received an email response back as to why, no sorry, nothing. Very piss poor job of investor relations and might be a sign of things to come for us still in this.
Having said that, I did search up their site and read the new CEO’s messages. He does mention that he hopes trading to start again soon, as soon as they can find a high note so that their stock does well once trading opens up. Good strategic move and seems like this CEO at least has a brain and some experience compared to the last guy. Someone asked about the intellectual property of Ascent and whether that was included in the sale, to which the CEO says they’re getting their lawyers to check, which would be a huge win if their IP wasn’t part of the deal and would definitely help the company once trading opens up again.
however I’m still pissed I haven’t received any response from Ascent except a package several weeks late and no actual an explanation.
