RE: Santo Mining Corp Laboratory Results Confirm G

RE: Santo Mining Corp Laboratory Results Confirm G

Santo Mining keeps referencing EVERTON Resources to validate their claim, in one report they compared Santo with EVR many times and the world-class Barrick Gold/Goldcorp Mine. Santo is trading at about .40 cents and was as high as $11.00 in 2012

Gold-rich Neighbors Equals a Golden Opportunity

Who knows the most about where the big gold is located in any region or country?

The big, senior mining companies, that’s who. They’re the ones who have the resources to find and exploit the world’s biggest gold claims. That’s why they own almost all of the world’s largest mines.

SANP, in essence, profits from the proven resource discoveries of the large gold companies that comprise its neighbors in the Dominican Republic.

By buying up claims in and around these areas where majors already have large gold mines with proven reserves, Santo Mining exponentially increases the odds that its new claims will strike gold, too.

And Santo is indeed in good company. In addition to Barrick Gold (NYSE:ABX) and Goldcorp (NYSE:GG), its neighbors in the Dominican Republic read like a “who’s who” of gold mining. They include … Perilya Gold … Brigus (AMEX:BRD)/Everton … Falcondo Xstrata … Unigold … Newmont Gold (NYSE:NEM)… and Eurasian Gold (NYSE:EMXX).

How SANP Could Become
The Ultimate 9-Way Gold Play

Even if just one of the claims produces favorable results, it could send the share prices headed higher on the news. With nine productive claims, the price would likely skyrocket. In a way, you can think of SANP as a portfolio or “mutual fund” of gold mines.

Here are the quick facts on Santo Mining’s first 9 claims ….

Santo Claim #1

Santo Mining Corporation has acquired 100% of this gold exploration claim near Dajabon in the northwest of the Dominican Republic. This highly prospective 2,775 hectare claim is surrounded in all quadrants by numerous gold discoveries that are under continued exploration by senior mining companies:

  • Unigold, which is only 2,500 meters south of the claim, has initial reserves of up to 21.9 g/mt (grams per metric ton) of gold.

  • Immediately west, Everton Resources has showings of 8.17 g/mt gold.

  • Newmont/ Eurasian at La Miel is 36 Km from this claim, with showings of 2.5 g/mt gold.

  • Barrick Gold, which is very active, has reported publicly that it has proven reserves of 25.3 million ounces of gold and 147.7 million ounces of silver. The find is so significant that Barrick’s world class “Pueblo Viejo” gold mine is known to be the largest gold find in the western hemisphere. Barrick stock went from $17.34 in October 2008 to $54.74 in April 2001, tripling its share price in just 2 1/2 years.

Claim #1 contains both placer and alluvial gold. “Placer” is gold that’s bound within rocks, either with oxide or sulphide bonds. “Alluvial” is gold detached from hard rock, through erosion, that finds its way into rivers and soil. Placer gold can be separated from the rock through cyanide leaching. Sulphide bonds are stronger than oxide bonds, so sulfide rock must be cooked before leaching. The separation process costs $300 an ounce for oxide separation and $300 to $500 an ounce for sulfide. Alluvial gold is dredged and separated from gravel and sand.

The great number of placer historical gold showings in the area and the variety of mineralization types highlight the exceptional exploration potential for this claim. Geologically, this claim lies within the same cretaceous volcanic belt as the 25.3 million ounce Pueblo Viejo project.

Multi-element anomalies in gold, copper, and zinc have also been identified on this property, with an extensive zone of disseminated sulphides mineralization occurring within the siliceous bedded rock formation. The area is underlain mostly by mafic Meta volcanics and microcrystalline quartz of the Duarte Formation (Lower Cretaceous). The Santo Mining exploration team is planning a comprehensive 2-D investigation scheduled in the near future and remains highly optimistic that it will deliver promising results.
