Eat aquiring locations and partnerships in the US is a smart play. You ask why EAT is well potitioned to take a seat under the canopy tree - several reasons;
in the fall they released news speaking to a consultation relationship btw the two companies. If I was tasked by Bruce to secure some prime store front for selling WEEDS products in the US, Partnering with a fellow Canadian company which business has concentrated on the US market as long as Tweed has....well under that lense EAT is well situated.
The US is moving slower with POT, and Donald's boarder tax will make it profitable for US states/business to import weed from Canada and sell in in the US for (a 0.25% more given the dollar)...
This entire sector is just starting, unfortunately, anyone who got in a year ago has seen once in a life time gains on their money, a short speed bump in late november with all the hegde fund guys deciding to have a pissing contest to see who can earn the most by Christmas scared some ppl off, but the next 24 months will be steady weeks of green for the original players, and consolidation will provide the cherry on top of those invested in the dozens of startup/late stage LP applicant...
