RE: InfoYabobit...besides Forent in NScotia, I would suggest that you also get familiar with the Green Point Shale in Western Newfoundland. Shoal Point Energy (SHP on CNSX) has already drilled their well 3K-39 and has done extensive coring, etc to understand the multi-billion bbl discovery they have made but not yet tested. They have just completed a $3+million PP to raise funds for the test and await final CNLOBP approval. Those who have followed SHP will know that they may be able to flow oil without fracturing due to the extensive natural fracturing in the shale and this permeability was demonstrated via a closed chamber DST that was conducted before the well was cased. Significant pressure and flow except due to the extensive time (months) that the well bore was open, much drilling fluid has flowed into the fractures so it will have to flow out first. Exciting stuff for SHP and their trading volume has moved up this week in anticipation...
Another smaller player is NWN who has significant acreage just north of SHP's discovery and who's reserve consultants have indicated that the GPS extends under their acreage. The great news about NWN is that there are less than 10 million shares outstanding, so excellent leverage when they do finally pop!
I believe that success for ANY of the companies exploring the east coast, including FEN, PTW, SHP, NWN, etc will be a good thing for ALL others by drawing investor attention to the massive untapped potential of the east coast.
