Ouch, that was a painful day.  I'm with you Acer on the 2.70+ thing.

I just read this from another board. ---------------------- Pass this message around. Set sell orders way above current prices. This limits the access to shares by short sellers. ---------------------- Is there any truth to this?  If so, I know what I'm doing first thing tomorrow morning ;)

If you OWN your shares outright the bank can not lend them for shorting, unless you give them permission.

Thx JB. Sorry for the nube question.  For my OWNed shares, if I place a sell order for a future date and price, I am giving the bank permission to use them to lend to shorters?  That would not be a good idea...lol. Come on Slang, do your Thang.

No not like that. When your register your trading account at the bank, you have to sign and initial. One of those questions is do you want your shares to be available to short. This should be backed up verbally by the rep. If you have any doubt call your bank and make sure. Bump in the road boys! GL JB
