Procedure for Halts

Procedure for HaltsGeez, the long awaited news with halt has finally arrived.  For a while there was getting antsy.  Even told my wife the other day that I hope the news will still come out in my lifetime.  lol  This is great!

Come someone please refresh my memory on how halts work.

Will they release the news at some point and then allow investors to analyze.  And then at some point after news is released they re-open trading.  Is that how it works?
