Sticking one´s head in the sand is not an answer to curing anything, let alone a Pandemic. As the Screening process proceeds, the infectious are quarantined and the healthy are allowed into schools, workplaces and to travel, the economy will improve and life will start to return to normal. This will become the new norm for some time with Antigen Screening , seperation of the infectious and gradually the numbers needing to be isolated will decrease. How long this will take is debatable but certainly at least a year and probably longer but it is the only way.
The alternative is continued viral spread, schools closed, the economy suffering, health service overwhelmed and people dying.
No doubt all methods, testing, vaccines, treatments will be part of the solution... I think the real solution that has merit quickly is the treatment strategy... as there are already a number of treatments which minimize mortality rates.. one that comes to mind is stem cell therapy which is highly successful to treat the virus. Unfortunately people die from all sorts of issues.. not just covid.. any people also survive covid... but the media doesn't want to focus on those numbers it seems..?
The economic loss alone will be measured in Trillions (many, many) while the cost of an effective Screening Programme in Billions(many, many) but there is a thousand fold difference between the two. A price worth paying and that is not counting the cost to Health Services and the suffering of the people affected.
