RE:wearing out my Ignore buttonshort story:
part of my offshore experience that demonstrates how things can change
Hibernia platform construction was brought to a complete stop during its early construction when Texaco pulled out of the patnership. Their share was about 6-7%.
It got restarted once a couple of partners increased their share by about 1% for two partners, the rest was taken by the Canadian federal government (See John Crosbie) about 5%.
Long story short Hibernia was the best investment the Feds made (in spite of themselves). I believe they still own that share. It has been a stellar, probably their best) producer for Exxon.
GO SONA!!!!
