I had to read the fourth paragraph of the NR quite a few times. At first I thought it said that the test had to be done by your healthcare provider within 7 days of the onset of symptoms. Then I read it a few more time and realized that it said that their data submitted to the FDA had 97.1% sensitivity and 98.5% specificity in patients suspected of having COVID-19 by their healthcare provider within 7 days of the onset of symptoms. I'm not a scientist but isn't that sort of sample shopping to achieve a desired result ?

In the sixth paragraph it says that the EUA requires the patient to get a prescription. Does that mean I have to get a doctors appointment, have them write a prescription and then get a qualified person to do the test all within 7 days after I think I have symptoms ? I don't think my doctor even wants me in their office if I have symptoms. Isn't that why there is drive through testing ?
