to be clear: I'm referring to CBC The National News on TV... saw a teaser last night...

I'd say the price is related to the FDA decision drawing near. I'd be interested in watching the piece on CBC also. Hopefully Sona get some of the spotlight..

in the teaser, they show an 8" long tube-like test unit that takes a saliva sample directly, and turns a built-in indicator dot red if positive... interesting...

I did not see any mention of Sona.  The part that I saw (watched later, not live) was pushing saliva tests, and that they won't be ready until next year. :/  Also, haven't we heard that saliva tests aren't accurate b/c covid doesn't concentrate in saliva? And that Sona's test would work with saliva if they found it to be effective?  Oh well, still no mention that
