Here's what he said:

Sona has large employers looking for a quick way to screen their workers to determine if anyone has been exposed to COVID-19, Regan said. If the antigen test indicates someone is positive, then they could go to a doctor for confirmation. “Our best use for this rapid test . . . is more for reopening the economy rather than a medical system device,”

It is needed everywhere not only in Canada but let say Canada first...why not.

The major issue with his statement is that the test they developed and the application of it is meant purely for a POC environment.  Hence the reasoning they applied for medical device authorization under this pretense. If this was a saliva based test this statement would be promising as the product meets its intended use case.  This is not a saliva based but rather a Nasopharyngeal

More bad news? The news from FDA was not bad, it caused a huge over reaction imo. CEO has always stated how confident they are about HC. you just joined here a month ago.....

Current market price, recent volume and number of trades do not indicate an overreaction to me.  The market price reflects investor sediment and as of Friday it was not very positive.  In fact, the overall trend and momenteum on this company has reversed.  So, if you are a buyer you are going against the trend and stand to loose even more capital.
