The Categorical ImperitiveI am not a philosophy scholar, but I have read a bit, and know who I like. I've lived by a couple of tenants since my 20's, and one of them holds true here I believe
1. Rene Decartes said, among many other things, that "I think therefore I am', which basically means that we have no idea if anything that we 'know' is real, and it could all be fake and fed to us, so we need to challenge and research everything that we don't know for certain (but it's not that intense or dystopian, it just means that you should do your own research...) And the only thing we know for certain is that "I am thinking about this(My existence? Reality?), so 'I' must exist". And then we prove and confirm everything else that we think we know, until our 'knowledge' is a solid as bedrock.
2. Emanuel Kant said, among many other things, that we must follow the Categorical Imperative:
"Kant’s first formulation of the CI states that you are to “act only in accordance with that maxim through which you can at the same time will that it become a universal law”.
This basically says that we can only do things, perform actions, hold 'maxims'(beliefs, rules), that we can wish everyone else would hold, or do. Basically follow the Golden Rule if you are religious, but with a bit more structure to it.
I haven't really been following the CI with regard to Sproutly, and if everyone just keeps bidding low, there is nothing to propel this stock but news or releases. But it seems to be getting to a "point of no return", and I for one am going to get back to the Categorical Imperative, and only do things I can wish everyone else would do, and always pay the ask, or higher, when I add to my stack.
It's lower than I ever dreamed, so now it's time to raise it up!
And happy anniversary to all my longs who got in before or when the JV was announced!
1 year to day, it's been quit the rollercoaster!
Cheers gang! And heres to hoping!
