RE:Why is TAAT is expensive in U.K. That helps a lot because we now know TAAT will be taxed like tobacco cigaretttes.
According to section
8.1 Definitions and notes TAAT cigarettes would be classified under Tax type code 611 and be fully taxed like tobacco cigarettes. TAAT would not be classified as ‘Herbal smoking products’.
‘Tobacco products’ means any of the products listed which are manufactured wholly or partly from tobacco or
any substance used as a substitute for tobacco but does not include herbal smoking products.
‘
Herbal smoking products’ means products commonly known as herbal cigarettes or herbal smoking mixtures.
They do not include plant material which is specially grown or processed for use as a tobacco substitute.
Somebody should tell Frog: After they add in the shipping costs, the cost advantage over tobacco cigarettes pretty much goes away.
Frog losses another round. He should stop posting.

Herbal material is usually readily identifiable as such by its texture and aromatic and pungent odour.
