RE:Turkey is not a safe place for investors Disagree with your soft bashing opinion. Yes, the Turkish economy has been better without the latest earthquake. Which are common, by the way. Projects play a disproportionately large role in the economy compared to say Britain or Belgium. This too is nothing new. Both things, in my opinion, make it far less likely the government will jeopardize foreign investment, not more likely. So, is turkey as safe a place for investors as Britain or Belgium? No. But it never has been, and it's far safer than it was pre nato and pre eu membership. It's also far safer than south east Asia, Africa, South America or Russia! Some would argue it's safer than parts of Canada. Like Quebec. The enormous upside gives me more than sufficient return to offset the limited risk. Just saying. If you disagree, instead of posting scare tactic propaganda, just sell. Or if you've got a pair, short it , if you haven't already.
