RE:RE:RE:RE:CBD vs THC

RE:RE:RE:RE:CBD vs THCGreat post, PaddyK.  We are on this planet, and so is that plant.  Our bodies produce cannabinoids naturally, and a lot of the problems of today can likely be attributed to cannabinoid deficiencies.  My doctor would say that because Charolette’s Web helps those children with seizures live a normal life that their bodies are deficient in the cannabinoids found in that strain.  When a person first gets their prescription my advice to them is to try as many strains as you can and maybe you will find something that works for you.  PaddyK gave a great description for the layman, but it is a lot more complicated than just CBD and THC.  There are countless other cannabinoids in the plant (also not psychoactive) as well as terpenes that might work together to cause these effects.  Super Lemon Haze has the limonene terpene which has a lot of its own properties like being an antidepressant, an antifungal, and an anti-inflammatory (among others).  We know about CB1 and CB2 receptors, but there are likely at least 5 or 6 different types of receptors in the body.  It is my belief that the combination of the cannabinoids working on or against the receptors and the various properties of the terpenes is what explains how it can treat so many illnesses.  Even athletes are using cannabis.  Since it is an anti-inflammatory it allows you to repair your muscles faster after strenuous exercise.  Health-wise, there is a lot more to cannabis than just THC and CBD.
