precious mail to jeff-Question - What are the impacts if the US congress eliminates the amendment from funding. The AG has spoken in this manner and it is a possibility.
Answer along with answers to couple other questions from previous mail on Dec 4.
- If the funding amendment isn't extended, then the Cole Memo is still in effect, and the amendment that may end only covers medical cannabis, yet the AG has never pursued the many recreational cannabis operations that have been operating in Colorado, Washington and Oregon. We would proceed with our THC drink launch as planned regardless of the outcome of the amendment. There are only a small minority of dispensaries that will be properly permitted for adult use in California on January 1, so it's really not a big deal if things aren't ready by that date. It's not like Colorado and other states where all the regulations were organized and fully in effect when those states went rec. California hasn't even issued the application form for adult use, let alone issued any permits. A small handful of companies will be able to operate under temporary 'emergency' permits. Everyone has been waiting a long time for '27 so I don't know why everyone is suddenly so concerned. We'll probably make the deadline but I simply can't guarantee it because the regulations are so in flux in California. Another reason to own the stock now is because of the business development deals we're working on simultaneous to the '27 launch, as well as two significant US investor analysts that have recently picked up coverage of our stock. Yes, when we launch there will be a big marketing and PR campaign. It's a big waste to do it in advance
Just another note - Jeff indicated that the Tinley line would be bottled in SanFrancisco.
