Cannabis as a commodityOne great thing that Tinley has going for it is that Cannabis is now a commodity.
Chemists have broken down the differnet types of cannabis into the basic THC molecule that is common to all the plants, and the different terpenes and their relative strenghts or concentrations in a strain.
Tinley has choses a Pineapple Jack strain for their product experience. They know the amount of THC and concentrations of the different terpenes that make up that strain they are looking for.
From then on out, it is like watching someone mix up batches of paint at Home Depot. You tell them what colour you want and they input that into a computer. They put a pail of white paint under a nozzle and the computer dispenses the correct amount of different base colours to achieve the colour you want.
My understanding is Tinley and others, are doing this for cannabis. They put the base amount of THC they want. They add the correct number of Terpenes in their correct amounts, just like mixing paint, and you get a compound that will provide the effects you are looking for.
Reading the News Releases, Tinley has a lab on site to do this work for the third parties they want to create beverages for an co-pack.
All this is to say, I don't think they need a great crop of "Pineapple Jack" to keep going. They will just create whatever they want according to a recipe.
Probably as long as the product is not spoiled or contaminated, it can probably be broken down into it's constituents by any supplier and sold as individual components and sold as individual ingredints.
