Desantis did stack the Florida Supreme Court largely with conversative types and the AG doesn't care about the will of people only about thwarting a common sense revolution that is Cannabis. I used to be staunchly against Cannabis myself but after seeing how much it actually helps people and was way less dangerous than alcohol, I did a 180.
