USCM.c) McDermitt East Project is in a Favourable Formation

As detailed in the article below, a significant lithium deposit has been found in the McDermitt Caldera, a volcanic crater on the Nevada-Oregon border. The study estimates that this caldera holds between 20 to 40 million metric tons of lithium. This discovery has the potential to revolutionize lithium sourcing for clean energy technologies.

Unlike many other lithium-rich sources, this caldera's lithium reservoir is located within clay deposits, making it more environmentally friendly. The unique aspect of this discovery lies in the preservation of these lithium-rich clays near the surface, minimizing the need for extensive rock extraction.

This finding could have a profound impact on the global lithium landscape, affecting factors like pricing, supply security, and geopolitics.

Situated within the McDermitt Caldera, an extinct super-volcano spanning 40x30 km, this project spans 6,508 acres of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) claims. Preliminary surface samples have revealed an impressive 1,907 parts per million (ppm) of lithium, indicating substantial lithium-bearing sediments.

The McDermitt East Project is in close proximity to the Thacker Pass project, which lies 19 kilometers to the west. Thacker Pass is a construction stage project poised to become the first lithium clay producing asset in the United States.

This strategic positioning not only offers geographical advantage but also allows for additional project optionality for USCM with minimal initial cash outlay and earn-in expenditures over time.

The USCM team is well-positioned to expedite the necessary field studies required to refine and permit the targets, further enhancing the project's potential for success.

Moreover, the presence of lithium-rich clays accumulated due to the enrichment of lake water within the McDermitt Caldera adds to the allure of the McDermitt East Project.

With a NI 43-101 report indicating a high potential for the project to have large amounts of lithium-bearing sediments.and the extensive geological advantages of the region, this McDermitt East has the potential to significantly impact the lithium mining landscape in the United States.
