This is definitely an interesting pivot. Tonymoly definitely has an Amazon presence but the range of product offerings is smaller. The reviews on Amazon are generally good and there is, in fact, already a Tonymoly USA.
A cursory review suggests, not surprisingly, that VTAL is at a competitive disadvantage price wise but maybe their wider offering provides incentive to purchase from their online store.
Management changes here and at DM ....is it possible to hope these guys have finally figured things out post Covid? At least it's not negative news and maybe even board management of both these companies would like to see at least some positive return on the little bit of skin of their own they have in the business.
