I think  a mine complex that is going ahead with a capex of over $1 B is so huge it takes time to set up the project. If there is a profitable oxide layer or underground startup deposit or even a smaller sweet spot pit this makes for good promotion and possibly less stock dilution on financing. Infrastructure is a big thing.

Check CUM, XRC, AND NCU for timelines on production. 

Stock usually stays in the "doldrums" around the bankable studies.

CCY is a good choice IMO.
