Odyssey managed to get two holes into the main target area on its Lucky Strike property in northern Turkey before being stopped by unusually heavy snowfall. Those holes confirmed the presence of a very large base metal system. Assays have not yet been received, but the company reported “up to 20% fine grained replacement sulphides”. That is very encouraging, but these holes did not encounter a high enough metal concentration to produce economic grades in this setting. Odyssey has confirmed that there is ample scope for the discovery of a large zone of higher metal values in the area around where the drilling has taken place. Once the snow clears enough to get back onto the property, the company intends to do some down-hole geophysics to try to vector in on zones most likely to contain higher metal oncentrations.
In addition to the areas recently drilled, there are several additional target areas that also have good potential on the large property position held by Odyssey.
The company is also actively seeking additional opportunities in Turkey. The company's geological and management team have years of experience and excellent contacts in this mineral-rich and under-explored country. Odyssey is managed by smart group of people with the commitment and dedication to make a discovery. At this price, it is worth holding or accumulating a position.
