Taylor says buy CangoldJay Taylor, in the Aug. 13, 2014, edition of Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks, says buy Cangold Ltd., recently 11 cents. Mr. Taylor said buy eight times from June 23, 2003, to Dec. 18, 2013, at prices ranging from 4.5 cents to 45 cents (the stock rolled back 1 for 5 in May, 2011). Along the way, he twice said take some profits -- perhaps sell half -- on April 16, 2007, at 17.5 cents and on July 16, 2007, at 22.5 cents. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each buy, the two half sales yielded profits of $948 and $1,148, respectively. The remaining $6,000 position is now worth $4,576. Cangold has received final exchange approval for its option to acquire the Guadalupe de los Reyes gold-silver project in Mexico from Vista Gold, and for a private placement that will help cover option payments. Vista completed a preliminary economic assessment for the project in March, 2013, estimating a net present value of $57.3-million. Production was forecast at 327,681 ounces of gold and 4.39 million ounces of silver over an 11-year mine life. Mr. Taylor likes the project's potential and thinks that Cangold's chief executive officer, Bob Archer, will strive to repeat the success he has enjoyed at the other company he leads, Great Panther Silver.
