Two bulls on a hill

Two bulls on a hillI read the speculation that GLH is a takeover target, and I'm sad that I agree. I would prefer the company to grow independently, as I think GLH can grow its value faster than where I would re-invest my proceeds of a takeover today. That is why I'm invested here, and not in those alternatives, today. Thirty-one years ago, I started work in the stock market, and was enthusiastic about a company. I wanted the company to run at all the opportunities it faced, and to seize them all immediately. A wise old guy named Larry H. took me aside and told me this story: An old bull and a young bull were standing on the top of a hill one morning, looking down at a field of beautiful cows. Chomping with enthusiasm, the young bull wanted to run down the hill and make wild love to a cow. The old bull recommended a patient, refined approach. "Let's walk down the hill, and f**k them all." Let's heed the old bull's advice, encourage GLH to grow quickly and solidly, and to quietly seize ALL the opportunities in front of it. I would rather sell my shares for $50 five years from now, than sell them for $2 to a takeover offer next month.
