This seems to be the case here and oil prices are once again accomodating.
A takeover of the entire operations seems to be the most likely scenario here.
The JV partner will have to pay about $900 million to develop the 24,000 bpd expansion and can probably buy the entire company for about the same amount ( $2 per share ).
This would provide strong current cash flows while establishing a production profile of 55,000 bpd, along with gas, lite oil and a refinery.
A status update will be coming along before Xmas, which might turn out to be a very nice gift.
