Canbriam Energy has a close relationship with the NYC-based private equity firm Warburg Pincus L.L.C..
Warburg Pincus also has a close working relationship with Velvet Energy which is also operational in the Alberta Deep Basin/Montney Shales.
Might there be a combination of forces to create a significant player in the area?

Canbriam and Velvet can't be combined imo because they drill different formations.

Canbriam is a pure Montney play. And as another poster noted, Canbriam fits with CKE once CKE spins off CRAFT.

Velvet Energy focuses in the Deep Basin and doesn't target the Montney formation, but it drills where CRAFT drills too...See this:
