Register for this class action with Strosberg Sasso Sutts LLP, Kalloghlian Myers LLP, Henein Hutchison LLP or A. Dimitri Lascaris Law Professional Corporation (collectively, “Counsel”) by emailing  canntrust@strosbergco.com or at www.canntrustclassaction.ca by filling out the questionnaire. 
 
On January 29, 2021, Counsel were appointed as representative counsel to the class of Securities Claimants in the restructuring proceedings of CannTrust Holdings Inc. and its affiliates (“CannTrust”) under the provisions of the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act R.S.C. 1985, c. C-36. (“CCAA”). A copy of the representation order and other information regarding this class action and the CCAA proceedings are available at www.canntrustclassaction.ca

Hi, in the questionnaire at www.canntrustclassaction.ca., they ask to provide particulars, what does that means ? Do they want to see the account statements, trade slips ? If yes, how do I sent the picture to them ? Thanks

The best way to join the class action lawsuit is to email. But the questionnaire works too. I went the email root. But to answer your question, yes you must go get your bank statements and confirmation slips and/or trade slips from the dates required that they stated. If you bank online you can download those to your computer and attach them to the email you send. If you have trouble call your ...more

I personally did the email route.  They did not need alot of  information.  So i just downloaded my statements/trade confirmations and a bit of personal info.  That was it.  It needs to be in by friday March 26, 2021

Jon, did you confirm with the law firm what happens to your shares, if a settlement amount is paid out to you for your losses on those shares? In some cases, shares are forfeited to the corporation for settling a percentage of your losses in lieu of your securities held.  In a sense it would be akin to double dipping if the company paid you for your loss, you kept your shares, and then the ...more

Thank you,  i will ask.  I definitely want to keep my shares.  I am still down significantly.   I need 3x from here to get back what i have into it,  but i will send an email and ask that question

I just emailed them,  i will keep you posted with their response.    I own almost 27,000 shares, so an epic come back would be nice.  Too bad the cost is close to $5 a share.

Thank you Jon Just a hunch, but I dont think you will have any problem recovering your initial investment dollars once the CCAA process has concluded and CanTrust starts trading on the TSX and Nasdaq once again. As for joining a class action lawsuit, to my knowledge these tools are generally a legal remedy for investors who have lost money due to wrong doing by a corporation. Those shareholders ...more
