7.5 millions VCQ 0.5 million xprize Money is flowing in. More xprize deals are possible with the other 8 finalists. A big news is coming on another front.

I don't really want my money tied up in a company trying to win contests or depending on handouts. None of these X prize companies mean anything unless someone is supplying them carbon. Held CST for so long it's getting harder to remember when I got in. (Only bought once) Excuse my ignorance but my questions are as follows: Could the very companies who employ CC&S technological firms ...more

At the last AGM, Evan stated that their desired focus is on earning royalties for use of the tech but in the case of Serres Toundra, the greenhouse still get all the captured co2 but they split the proceeds of the carbon credits 50/50 with CST. I imagine every deal has the potential to be different. It's been a long wait but if it's ever going to happen for CST, it's going to happen ...more

Thanks to CO2H for some answers. One more...If the captured carbon remained the property of the user/emitter and they got to split or recoup all the proceeds with an end user would that not reduce the cost per tonne of Captured Carbon for the emitting firm? or is this already figured in? If it was me and you wanted my waste carbon and despite the moral implications, I'd still want a cut. IMHO ...more

Technically, CST is still highly focused on capture. It's the VCQ project that is focused on end use. They happen to be leading the project but their *product* is still a capture solution. In my view, the two go hand in hand because until the world builds widespread infrastructure to support Co2 transport (30+ years?), an on-site conversion to a useful product is likely the easiest path for ...more
