You can rant all you want, and plant whatever information you like that isn't substantiated by facts regarding Raven, but what counts is what is actually accepted by the Environmental Agency Office.

 

All tests are being done, and will be included in the upcoming application. 

 

Until then, mokita, you can flap your lips all you like.  It won't make a difference, because what you are posting is being addressed.  JMO

 

BTW, the new VP Operations knows exactly how a new mine needs to be run to be both enironmentally and workplace safe.  Mr. Ellis brings with him well over 30 years experience, and will address all issues concerning the safe operation of the Raven mine.  atb

Except of course the EA process doesn't take Climate Change, Global Warming or Ocean Acidification into account....

Nor does the EA process take into account the billions (5 billion so far) and billions needed to cleanup the inevitable poisoning of watersources associated with mines. Further, the EA process has been copted by big business steadily for the lastwenty years. don't have to rant, 2guys.  Simply look at the preponderance of evidence and the BC Auditor General's 2011 conclusion that the EAO is not doing its job.   When major projects such as mines, ..are undertaken in the province, British Columbians expect that any potentially significant adverse effects (whether environmental, economic, social, heritage and/or health related) will ...more

Auditor General hasnt audited the permit process, but accusing EAO for being a rubber stamp for business says it all, especially as only two mine applications have been turned down ONLY because media attention to toxic damage was too great to ignore.  A transparent EAO process would ensure enforcement after permitting. nothing needs to be added.  CEC has a director that has successfully ...more
