more than 7000 have publicly denounced CEC

more than 5000 have signed petitions protesting Raven since summer, with thousands of signatures more in recent petitions.  More than 40 groups have publically denounced the greenwashing claims of CEC and the government's pattern of giving permits even when heinous environmental harm can be expected.

And what about the 600 shellfishgrowers who are against the mine and the support businesses?

now that the jobs myth has been exploded you can expect many who have been silenced because of fear of being perceived as "against jobs" will add their names to the growing list of opposers.

Could you provide a valid link to your claim mokita.  I would be very interested in reading those stats.  Thankyou.

Below is pasted an incomplete list of groups that have publicly opposed the Raven mine.  Petitions are generally not for the public record, as you well know.  However, you could contact the VI Water Watch Coalition for the total numbers of the most recent petition. Now that the public is aware of provincial and federal government withdrawal of environmental standards to create a free ...more

Likely i the thousands, but more than likely not mokita.   You're so full of chit it's not funny.  Keep making up nubers and trying to pass on misleading information.    If you had proof in your numbers, I'm sure you would have posted a link, but you and your sock puppet friends are most likely the same person, just like it's probably easy for your unethical ...more

Never mind the fact that, at least in Port Alberni there were surveys done independently, one by the Chamber of Commerce of its members and one by the Alberni Environmental Coalition by random homes and businesses and both found their opposition and approval basically cancelled each other out... Except when asked about trucking. https://www.avcoc.com/cms/modules/news/article.php?storyid=246 " ...more

Do you know how many members the Chamber of Commerce polled via email?  I would have preferred door to door, as it is much more reliable, but in any case, knowing how many would be good to know how the numbers relate to the overall populations.   As for the Alberni Environmental Coalition, wouldn't their views be biased in the first place?   I'm not sure why the ...more

I don't know how the Chamber did its survey. It was a survey of their member businesses, not of the population. I don't see why the AEC would be any less biased than the Chamber...  I don't consider myself an environmentalist.  Indeed many self proclaimed environmentalists have been pretty annoyed with me in the past.  I consider myself a realist and at ...more
