RE: RE: Investors, Truth and Environent

We all know what the truth is.

"Do you think that rail is more economical and beneficial for CEC and that it won’t take away business from other rail lines chris."

The fact you are asking this simply shows how uninformed you are as an investors frankly, not to mention that while you've obviously Googled me extensively, you've not actually read what I've said.

CEC has stated publicly many times that the rail line would be less expensive.  And it would be obviously beneficial to CEC from a public support perspective since the impact is far diminished on local communities.

There are no other local rail lines.  In fact, the rail line we have is about *this* close to being ripped up after years of neglect.  The Coal mine represents an opportunity for the rail line to be both renewed, and even extremely profitable.

And yes, I am simultaneously advocating for the coal mine to use the railway as well as opposing the coal mine.  Complicated?  Yup.  But it's the only realistic approach as far as I'm concerned.  If I simply oppose the mine then if it goes through, it will be the absolute worst case scenario.  So I have worked and am working within the EA process and in public to try to get the mine to use the railway so that if opposition fails, it is not as bad as it could be and indeed does have benefits.  You see?  That's actually what compromise looks like 2guys.  You think it's an 'extremist' position... but in fact, the extremist position would be either FOR at all costs... or AGAINST no matter what.

Yes, I'd love to be able to commute to my work with the train.  But I'm not an idiot.  Even if the mine went on the railway, there is no chance a commuter service would start up within the next 25 years under current regimes and assumptions.  That is why 90% of the content on vifreightbyrail is, surprise, about freight... not commuting.
