Anonymous?
I tried to find out about anonymous selling by net surfing but could not find how exactly it works?
Can institutions/ brokersges sell as anonymous?
What is the purpose of keeping it anonymous?
Could somebody throw light on this?
What are the chances that this mayhem will contiue?
Thanks.

All brokers can enter orders anonymously. There is no way to find out who the actual brokers are.

Long time back (lots of years ago) there used to be a report at he end of the month which would identify the brokerages (at a price of course). Not sure if this has changed with all the different exchanges and dark pools at the current time.

I don't recall ever seing that. The whole idea of anon is to be anonymous. Before the ability to enter orders anonymously everyone could see which firm was doing what. Before those days the only people who knew which broker was doing what were floor traders. All the public could get was a stock price quote. Later they added a rough idea of the bid and ask size.

The report was for market participants not for lemmings like us. Also report was not available real time - end of month.

Thanks for the detailed replies. Appreciated. There is no reason to sell. But it seems that same folks had earlier pulled it down to $7.90. At some stage, the selling should get exhausted because very few units must have beem left which would have been bought under $9. We can only go by the data. You can not stop people from selling at a loss. This kind of selling does set the cat among pigeons.

I went through the financials and Q reports etc. and cannot find anything wrong. Someone either has shorted the stock and looking to buy in cheap to square off the shares or someone wants to fleece the sheep and get in at a lower price. Either way ANON got wht ANON wanted.

And could Canaccord be a manipulator. Set up a short, put out a downgrade, pick them back up at a much lower price. Brokerages wouldn't do that would they:-)
