As long as the deal hasn't actually closed there is still risk that it could fall apart. I expect that risk is represented by the $0.20 discount on the unit price, at least that is my understanding. Other opinions?

I imagine the 20 cent discount is to get rid of your shares now.  Money is locked in for months until closing while it can be put elsewhere to make profit.  It will probably start to go up as closing nears.  Think of it as a 20 cent profit if you are willing to wait until June/July.  Probably no different from the 7 cent monthly dividend that Crius was offering before.

As of today, KWH.UN can be purchased of $8.58. They will likely be taken up for $8.80 at closing. I took a small bet on this today. Investing today, I can gain $0.22 per unit when the deal closes. Doing some quick math: if the deal closes in 30 Days – May 8, my return would be 30.8%. if it closes on Jun 8, the return would be 15.4% and if it runs out to July 8, the return would be 10.3%. I agree with your value assessment.  Assuming the deal goes through in the second quarter (let's say in 3 months), the ~.21 per share is equivalent to .07 per month, which is in the ballpark of the previous historical dividend;  annualized it works out to equivalent of a  ~9.77% dividend for the one quarter!  It's a pretty good payout for the risk of the deal not
