 Every oil bearing reservoir in Saskatchewan is horizontally drilled for the purpose of higher productivity and overall oil recovery.  Once the vertical wells establish the existence of economical oil and reservoir characteristics the horizontal well is quickly implemented.  
Its the Saskatchewan way and it has been working now since 92'.   Thats why I am so rich. 
Just my humble opinion and its only an opinion.
