RE: RE: RE: Presentation January 15 2012 My experience on the Venture has not been too gratifing... but I've learn a few things over the years. #1 is don't believe the hype. I've been waiting six months for news that was "just around the corner"... and now I'll apparently continue waiting untill Q2 of 2012. This isn't the first time this has happened to me in a stock. Guess how all those other companies turn out when they handled things this way? I've seen way too many venture stocks that were heavily manipulated, pump and dumps or press releases that were just outright lies. Does any of this apply to POP? Probably not. I hope not. There are a pile of POP longs posting on this board. They all keep spewing the same facts. I agree with all of them for the most part. Things look very very bright in the future and although I'm ticked at myself for getting trapped in a waiting game.... it takes nothing away from the long term prospects of POP.
The issue is that I've been here before. A great company with all these "facts" but no hard data to back it up. Results will confirm everything. All I want is a confirmation that all these facts total the sum of their parts. I want to know that all these "facts" did indeed result in #'s that were expected by posters on this board. Quite a few ventures I've watched before had all these great facts rolling in the hype machine and when the long awaited news releases finally arrived, they looked nothing close to what all the indicators (facts) had suggested.
Posters keep saying be patient. Quit whining. Well, six months of waiting for results will do that to you. Tack on another 90 days and it gets annoying. This is after we were told a steady stream of results would be forth coming in the july release... only to then be told POP will release data quarterly... only to be told Q2 of 2012. We could have had a 2011 Q4 release that would have showed us some hard data and all we got was a paragraph in an updated presentation. Thats crap! Then there was the unexpected financing, which managenment took a piece of at a reduced SP to most posters here. POP could have kept the SP well over a buck by just keeping shareholders and potential investors in the loop. ARW seems to be releasing steady info. As do a few other junior oil companies I'm excited about. POP hasn't lived up to their promises...yet. There's still time but when you operate this way its bad form.
I know POP has more info then they've released. Its time for POP managent to stop playing games and level the playing field. Where's Jeff Stuart now? Haven't heard from that guy in forever. I guess his promotional contract ran out.
So far I get the impression that POP is legit, but my confidence is declining the longer this goes on. I also believe that as great as management might be in the field, they are way below average in PR and transparency. This is a publicly traded company, not a private institution. They have a responsibility and duty to be more forth coming.
How about a clear plan? Anyone know what the plan is after the first seven wells? Do we know the direction POP is going in after the 7 wells have been producing? Is there going to be more financings? More drilling? How long till they start drilling again and where? This plan should be established and published and then stuck too. Isn't that what ARW did? You make a one year plan and execute it.
Where and what is POP's plan? These are all valid questions. This information should be readily available to any new investors via news releases so that they could make an informed decision to buy. It would be for the good of all us longs to have the investor community educated on what a great stock this is don't you think?
PS these anti spam characters never ever matching the first time around is SOOO annoying!
