RE:RE:New Website

RE:RE:New WebsiteMy take on the new website is not so enthusiastic.  I personally find it somewhat disappointing. Anybody else have an opinion? - lol!  To me, the overall the balance of the page is far too plain.  Maybe it's "clean" but it appears very stock, somewhat uninspiring and simple... not really elegant.  If the brand is your messaging platform, and sober is sexy is your slogan, then this is somewhat of a failure and disconnect, imho.  It does load well and have a better look & feel on a tablet or phone, but on a full screen computer with web browser it's not that impressive.

I do like the ability to tour the treatment centres for an inside glimpse at the "assets" of the company... although the assets really do lie in the staff that run the centres.

I had my 16 year old nephew take a look at it this morning and he agrees the website is not too exciting.  Sure ask a kid... well he happens to be a tech wiz, and has been designing web content since he was a child... he's now paid and is is contracted by numerous companies and corporations and advertisers for his technical expertise -- and he's only in grade 11.  Anyway, I've seen his work (and you might call me biased), but at the end of the day I expected a lot more.  My nephew also stated that aside from the WebGL content, the rest of the investor website could be pulled off in less than a day.  So why do it take so long to unveil?

Ok, ok, ok BLVD IR (investor relations).  It provides some web content for investors, some added transparency, etc.  The main page for those seeking addictions treatment lies in the .org website which is where the enhanced user experience should lie anyway.  Honestly, this information as presented and available on the blvdir website looks to me like a simple powerpoint presentation put into web format.  I feel there should be a crossover between the addictions treatment site and the investor relations site, as well as better linkages to the Facebook or social media aspects of the business.  But what do I know about marketing... apparently this is Heath's wheelhouse.

Anyway, I feel this fell a little bit flat, but perhaps I held higher expectations.  I suppose I should be thankful we have an ir website at all... looking back to the IR mess a year ago, there has been huge progress forward on numerous levels, and things continue to improve and evolve in positive fashion.

Still looking forward to those q1 results!
