Documentation of company closure?

Does anybody know how to realize the losses for this company? I can't sell the shares in the account and the bank doesn't see the company as closed. So they are just sitting in my account as a loss. The bank needs a letter from the company stating they are closed before they can strike if from my account. Has anybody come across this issue?

I just requested info from Scotia in this regard.  They indicated that I need to fill out a form "The Deed of Gift contract that will remove the security from my account and gift it to Scotia Capital. Check with advisor in regard to claiming any capital loss.  I removed it from my RBC account with no mention of this just the caveat that it was irrevocable. What a joke this whole ...more
