RE: West Titaniastrykorllc, good find. I did a bit of googling looking for decent pics of subsea pipe joints with no luck. Obviously this flanged tie-in spool piece is only used at the end of the run. Looks like they use bend pipe to allow for flexibility to account for differential movements in the piping system. One thing I did find when searching is that quite often swivel pipe flanges are used to account for movement in the piping system.
