In essence, this 8k tells us that $1 million was raised via issuance of 6.67 million shares at $0.15/share.  I don't believe these filings have to indentify who the private placement was from.  It appears to me that if it was in fact TIGMR who is the funding source, they balked at paying up $0.50/share and negotiated the price down, or, their funds are yet to come into Douglas.  ...more

This doesn't look as what they promised.... No wonder about the delay...What do you think about this ,Toby?Could we say they have been lying? Then it won't be strange to think they lied about other things as well...How could someone do that...

There could have been multiple filings. Like Toby said this could be proof that the chinese is in and they got there cut of shares. Still we need to see the 8-k on DLKM receiving funds. Its actually good news in a sense..

its money in the bank, any way you cut it, its good news. will be interesting to see how the market reacts. they have prmoised a clarifying nr, which i assume will come out today,
Comment by opzeeland on Aug 20, 2008 9:38am
Des, you are keeping the positive attitude, that's good :)Let's hope it's the way you say, and that they will issue a NR pretty soon, as they promised (as I thought I read somewhere)I know for once, that if I had such a mine as they say the have, I would be a little more pro-active concerning these things... Because they don't, that still does ...more

Did anyone else notice the wording of the 8k:Effective on August 15, 2008, Douglas Lake Minerals Inc. (the "Company") completed The way that reads to me, it was not effective before then, meaning they did not have the money, had not purchased the property and Harp has been lying. So it appears they now have the money to purchase the property and a little bit of operating capital. Toby ...more

Dcrain..ur stretching it with the wording.... u crack me up some time.. your dlkm hate is always "extra"Anyways, The completiion of shares giving to the chinese and receiving funds from them are two seperate transactions. The chinese possibly wanted the shares at a lower price and I'm quite sure DLKM use the leverage of receiving X amount of funds before renegotiating a lower share ...more

What this 8-K does tell us is Douglas Lake is legitmate and moving forward with or without the Chinese.  For any entity to  invest $1MM dollars in Douglas Lake 5 days ago is extremely bullish.  How many on this message board would have put even another cent into this thing 5 Days ago?  Regarding the Chinese:What I am hearing is the Chinese  ...more

Des, I have nothing against DLKM and I hope it does well for the investors. As I stated before, I am here to learn from my past investment in this company, but I have no intentions of investing in it again. From reading the posts and information over the last few months, I have come to two conclusions:1. Harp is fast and loose with information and money, and2. You are a pumper. Nothing wrong with ...more

If me being optimistic is called a pumper.. so be it.If you dont have any stake how bout you take your negative energy elsewhere. Why sit around and post blatant negative stuff about a stock. DLKM must of really burnt you real bad buddy.  You must of got in at .80 and sold at .30 and wants us all to feel your pain.  You'll be okay... it'll help at tax time.We all know that mgt is ...more

From that 8K, I'm assuming the money is NOT from the Chinese.  Buying 20% of any company requires identification of the party, and the wording clearly states there is more than one buyer. On the positive side, we have some cash to go forward and the property is ours, which everyone agrees is a major find.  In the interim, however, I think we'll see some ...more

Comment by Des1302 on Aug 20, 2008 1:28pm
So this is the 8-k we've been waiting on though?  I though there would be one about the actual receipt of funds from Chinese?
Comment by OpiNioNated6 on Aug 20, 2008 1:29pm
my computer is acting up or the site is for me. Now I can't even see my post. But Des has it. The first one went through with nothing in it. I sent the second one as a test and stating my  frustration and then the 3rd should have had my post. And yes, I do need to cut down on the coffee. I am all jittery this morning. Is it right for my leg to be twitching a hundred miles an hour like ...more
