Still bullish about Dmm also tho not expecting anything soon. Also readjusting Dmm's price downwards if Kinross fails to sign a contract and at least do some minor work on the property. The way the Ecuamorons  work it'll be next year before they even introduce the mining amendment and Dmm's not getting their contract until that's either defeated or passed. So don't hold your breath.

While I also don't blame the govt for attempting to get the best deal possible I do think they've handled it like complete idiots. I don't think the comparison with Greece is fair to the Greeks in all honesty.

I think Kinross backing off Fruta will damage Ecuador in regards to larger mining. EcuaCorriente is basically the Chinese government which is completely not like Kinross and other large miners so it's a different situation there altogether. Who knows maybe the Chinese will take Fruta off Kinross' hands. Chances are Kinross will not back as far off as foregoing signing it's contract because the other option is likely that Ecuador kicks them out. At least if they have the contract they'll be a bit more attractive to partners.

I think Kinross backing off will also likely damage Dmm because anything that damages Ecuador for mining in any way cannot help but have a detrimental effect on the price of any miner in the country no matter what size.
