Poker

PokerNot trying to drum up any expectations of things being different.  That being said, I love playing poker.  Especially when your opponent shows his hand (lets say a full house, kinda like the place where Titan and Core sit and decide how to screw shareholders) and sits there ever so smug.  Then, before you ask for your draw of cards,  you put down a 10, jack, queen and king of spades and ask a new and different dealer for one card.  Then for good measure you do not immediately play the card and let them stew on if for a while because you do not show your hand right away.  Gives them the impression they already won and that you have lost.  The odds of you getting that nine or ace of spades,  may be high and rare, but they do exist. But even the nine of spades would leave your opponent reeling.  So you are not just betting on one card but have the opportunity for either card to bring a winning hand.  And even a lowly nine in a straight flush will beat three aces with two kings (the flush is the BOD4 and Sam Wong).

So as the risk of playing with criminals (Core Gold BOD), is great, so is the risk of underestimating an opponent.  Yet as they sit there smug, they have chosen to under estimate their opponent, thinking no way is this guy or girl going to beat me.  And maybe they are right, or maybe you hold the ace or even nine of spades from the card you will draw.  That is why it is always prudent to let your opponent show his hand so to speak.  Once they have played all their cards there is nothing left for them to fall back on.  So give and let them have that false sense of security.

Now lets just say for pretend, that an ace of spades or even the nine of spades, would be authorities, outside of the criminals that work at the BCSC.  Your opponent thinks he's won because the BCSC says your opponent has the winning hand.   But the BCSC is the crooked dealer, and he has been dealing cards from the bottom of the deck to your opponent, to give him the winning hand.   But wait, you have asked someone else to deal you your last card, and just one off the top, and what if the card you have dealt is an ace or nine of spades, one that is an drawn by an authority, outside of the do nothing regulators, and is now looking into both the opponents (Titan and Core) from a whole different angle.  One they did not consider or dream of because they already have the original dealer on their side and feel the win is in the bag, which it may or may not be true, but not all the cards have been shown and played on the table yet.   And low and behold when you finally flip it over, the unexpected comes to the eyes of your opponent, as when they least expect it, just maybe you beat the odds and one of the two cards falls to the play of your other four cards, and the other players sit stunned as the pot is taken away from them.

Investing is a risk, as is gambling, and often they are one and the same.  Titan and Core Gold laid down their cards from the crooked dealer, so another dealer was chosen for the last card that will be played and we will see if it brings, maybe a Royal Flush, or a Straight Flush, or an maybe  an empty hand.  But the last card hasn't been laid down yet so we will see.

The odds may be long, but I like the excitement of the long odds, and an opponent who sits smug.  They are the ones that hurt the most when the last spade falls on the table and the whole pot is corraled by someone else.
