Pushed the boat out

Made me laugh Tad, that was funny.  Fair enough, maybe I was in an extravagant mood.  So it's with a caveat - that the board has to truly do a profoundly decent job representing ALL of the shareholders, not a few.  Out of roughly 3,000 shareholders in Core Gold (approx), somewhere around 400 voted no to the last idea, and only a tiny handful for it.

So, true enough - there has to be decent representation.  And until now, like it or not, it's apparent to the public that Keith Piggott is the one director that has represented shareholders best, and in the most up-front way.  That's not my opnion - that's the very clear vote of June 12, and on top of that the judgement of Justice Grove July 4  - those hundreds of shareholders were clearly lined up behind Keith, and it's also vice versa, in that Keith has the back of all those shareholders. There shouldn't be any argument about that.

Even saying all that, yes I'm pushing the boat out.  I do really think that the board on all sides does wish and need to operate in a basically cooperative manner, now at least, for the betterment of all interests, including those of investing parties.  To get Core Gold properly capialized or properly valued ultimately demands some form of cooperation and trust.

It's hard for the BOD4 to admit in a profound way that Keith won the moral argument - at huge cost to himself and also some cost to individual shareholders, while the board used shareholder money, clearly on the wrong side of it.  Their reluctance to bravely admit that is understandable to some limited extent.

That said, I'll credit the BOD4 for what good things they do, and hopefully more of them.  The press release is well timed, substantial and well presented, as it should be.  The exploration program is a well justified one, one that has been awaited a long time.  The BOD4 have taken some certain steps that secure the company, e.g. the debt rollover.

So yes - Keith got us out of the tunnel (again), and now yes I suppose today I'm pushing the boat out with a bit of hope for the whole board.  (Hmm, have to admit I had to look up the meaning of pushing the boat out, missed that part of my education.  Thanks for a new phrase).  I'm not drinking a whole bottle of champagne.  But so long as every shareholder, for their own money, and every interested party gets a glass in their hand, then I guess I'm willing to share a limited sip just now.

Also, regarding that injustice - that the BOD4 spent shareholder money on the wrong side of the Fairness judgement, while it took vast effort and sums from Keith et al to defend the bulk of shareholders, regarding that injustice, it should be soon enough be rectified. It's not fair of the BOD4 to have put none of their personal money into the Titan folly, and yet use shareolder money against ...more
