Is there a direct connection between this Sun Life transaction and CloudMD AlwaysLong683? It appears there is a detail I've missed along the way.

Yes. In 2021, Sun Life partnered with DOC re. Mental Health Coach. Now, Sun Life decides to acquire Dialogue instead of DOC. Manulife recently decided to use League., not DOC. Months ago I warned this sector is competitive. The above is proof.

Wonder what factors drove Manulife and Sun Life decisions? Financial,? Better fit? Technology? Service? Something else?

Sun Life was a founding cornerstone investor for DIalogue. Dialogue built its business on SL requirements. They then IPO'd the business at $12/share. Sun Life struggled with the lack of specialists and areas of required capability so they hired DOC to work with Dialogue (Services and Mental Health Coach). Canada Life was also an early investor in Dialogue. I wonder how long they will remain ...more
