RE: RE: RE: Idiot maplakHello sparky5,
One must always remember the true content and intent (good or bad) of posts. In my mind, maplak clearly has an issue with the perceived low grade nature of the Nokomis Deposit (though I have previously tried to set the record straight in this regard in this forum). He/She (ie. maplak) clearly thinks (at least in my mind) that ore deposits must be extremely "high Grade" in order to become highly profitable mines and has no understanding of the mining business and the technological advances in mining and mineral processing.
If you are tracking DM for short term results then you need to come to the realization that this is truly a long term deal, perhaps the largest ore deposit discovered in the US of A in the last century, Worrying about a seemingly moderate drop in DM stock price as the world Copper market goes down is a very short term issue.
The jist of the matter is that the JV is starting the detailed prefeasibility study NOW which will determine the scope of the mining project. Will it be 40,000 tpd for >60 years (at $1billion pre-tax profit) or 80,000 tpd for >30 years (at $2 billion pre tax profit). One doesn't have to have a PhD in mathematics to predict the dividend check each year...
Does maplak (and do you sparky5) understand the importance of DM exploration outside of the Nokomis deposit? One must realize that the Nokomis Deposit (curently worth ~$110 billion) was a blind target that was actually discovered based on a sound geologic concept developed by the current DM Exploration team. The word on the street is that DM Exploration is ramping up and ready to test new targets.
