It is a fine line

It is a fine lineProf JD

You are correct to be suspicious of things that people post here.  I know that I am.

On the other hand, the opposite dynamic "there are none so blind as those that will not see" needs to be reckoned with.

In this case you seem to be in complete denial.  When an analyst at a big bank issues a report there may be 5 to 10 pages of material.  When the Globe does a synopsis they only have space for a certain number of words and in the piece that you have there is no target price identified.  I agree that this omission is unusual.  Nevertheless for you to cling to the hope that the 5 cent number is not true just because it is not in a specific article is dangerous for you.
We all have to accept a lot of unpleasant realities.  The key question is always "what do I do now"
A rational decision is unlikely if you are in denial about the facts.   By the way you do not need to accept the CIBC conclusion.  You just need to check and test their investment thesis to see if their conclusion is reasonable

Suspicion in the market is good.  Denial in the market is bad
