Is this so hard to figure out?
Is this so hard to figure out?The stock is selling off in small volumes because people are decreasing/selling their positions for obvious reasons. We're nearing the 50 day mark and no news. That's reason enough for many to start hitting the panic button. The fact that no news has yet been released is neither good or bad. We simply just don't know yet. Drilling is a lot more complicated than many are making it out to be. As a 10% partner, ENG may already have some preliminary results but are fobidden to release them. Is that so hard to believe? This is a tight hole and they aren't running the show.
I think the insiders exercising their options/warrants speaks volumes. Jeff could have walked away with close to a million dollars and still have options to exercise if/when positive results are known. As far as we know, he hasn't sold any, and the volume doesn't suggest it either. That to me speaks volumes. I would have expected him to sell even some of his options by now.
You all sound afraid to lose money as you should be. There are many of you so the price will continue to drift lower until news is released. I was in oilexco and they hit OIL and the stock still sold off to $1.50 more than once. These are very volatile stocks.
The success or failure of this drill cannot be determined by the timing of news. Unfortunately for many, they will make the assumption that this is a dry hole and sell because ENG hasn't said hello. Give it time, I know it's hard. If you can't afford it, sell it.
I'll begin to worry when Jeff and other insiders start selling/dumping. In the meantime, it's business as usual. And yes, I do believe there will be good news released very soon.
