If they have hit nothing yet, why would they not continue to 5500 meters? If they have found oil already, they could wrap things up here since the probability to find oil in the other prospect would have increased substansially and it is not necessary to spend $400 big ones each day just to test another formation that will be tested in the other prospect.
The premium of $6 that VeritasLuxMia wrote about is way to low for the possibility to find 10bbl/share in the next prospect. I would say well above $10 premium for such a possibility.
